Mammoth Snow for World Snowboarding Day

Yesterday may have been World Snowboard Day on the global scene, but the snow gods weren't distributing the goods to everyone. Instead, they sent it all to Mammoth in one, huge mega-storm that dumped between seven to 10 feet of snow over three days.  

 

According to Mammoth records, this storm will put this month, December 2010, in the top five snowiest Decembers since 1969.  

 

We're looking forward to the influx of video edits to come from this storm, from both Mammoth and June, as well as people playing in Yosemite's deep winter abyss.  

 

To wet the whistle, here's a rough, white-out glimpse into the eye of the storm shot December 18 courtesy of Shayboarder.com.
