Like many professional photographers, Corey Rich began his capturing career as a hobbyist. After discovering an unstoppable passion for climbing when he was 13 years old, he realized that only through photography could he share his favorite climbing adventures with friends and family. The rest, as they say, is a timelapse.
Rich has since turned that hobby into a full-fledged profession, thanks to a keen business sense, which has blossomed into sponsorships, countless magazine cover shots, a deep client base and book deals. He is also a founding partner of Aurora Photos, an agency staffed with documentary photographers and photojournalists.
This gallery features some of his well-known photographs, and to gain a great angle on his career from his perspective, check out "Origins of a Legend." It contains valuable insights for any photographer aiming to turn passion into profession.
