The newest chapter in the "Timeline" series, which features the traveling adventures of big mountain snowboarder Xavier de le Rue, photographer Tero Repo and filmer/editor Guido Perrini, documents their travels to Jackson Hole with a mission to hit the Grand Teton --with guest rider Jeremy Jones and guest photographer and alpinist Jimmy Chin.
This particular episode of "Timeline," titled "'Further' With Jeremy Jones," was shot as a collaborative effort with Teton Gravity Research for Jones' newest two-year project, titled "Further" --a follow up to the 2010 hit "Deeper."
This episode features the all-star group's reconnaissance period as they study lines and snowpack of the Grand Teton, as well as a dry-run climb and descent of the Sliver Couloir --which ended with an avalanche that took Chin for a 1000-foot ride down 4-Hour Couloir on Shadow Peak. He survived intact, but needless to say they scratched the Grand this time around.
Here's a gallery of images from "'Further' With Jeremy Jones," courtesy of "Timeline."
