Bugaboo Provincial Park is home to South Howser Tower, a striking line first climbed by Fred Beckey and Yvon Chouinard back in 1961. According to Mark Smiley, who shot this video last summer, this Howser line also happens to be "The Most Amazing Route in the World."

Mr. Smiley might know a thing or two about amazing routes. He's currently on a mission with his wife Janelle to be the first couple to climb all of the routes made famous by the 1979 book 'Fifty Classic Climbs of North America.' In total, they're planning to notch over 164,000 vertical feet of technical terrain on a road trip that will cover over 25,000 miles by the last pitch.
