Traveling through the region is easy, the wine and food is amazing, the nightlife is all-night, and world-class waves are breaking at Mundaka, a former ASP World Tour venue, and Supertubes, a new addition to the WT.
Read the rest of Surfline's forecast explaining why Spain and Portugal are this month's hot spot for surf and in the meantime enjoy these photos courtesy of Surfline.com.
"With the winter storm season in full swing over the North Atlantic, and a very diverse coastline stretching from the Strait of Gibraltar to the Bay of Biscay, this region is highly subject to offer plenty of great surf during the month of January."
