Namib Desert Dunescapes

Shawn van Eeden captures the enchanting and mystifying essence of the Namib Desert sand dunes. Each dunescape reveals a bold display of contrasted light dancing over the African sand. Dark shadows lay against highlighted peaks creating landscapes of soft silhouettes and natural fluidity. Distant foot tracks and sparse plants appear to be the only signs of life in this barren land. Smooth rolling hills are interrupted by massive planes of natural design and textures as a result of nature’s own artistry. The vast sea of sand reaches for the horizon as far as the eye can see.
