Iceland Volcano Climb

By: GearJunkie, 3 months 9 days ago

It took more than 6,000 feet of climbing -- and almost 20 miles of mountain distance traveled -- but on Saturday, May 30, I made it to the top of Hvannadalshnúkur, the high point in Iceland. (No, this was not Eyjafjallajokull, the disruptive ash-spewing volcano near the country's southern coast!) Here is a gallery of images from the climb.
