When you think about New England's upcoming golden-nugget season, what comes to mind? Most of the leaf-peepers out there immediately rely on the classics: brilliant hillsides emblazoned in foliage, cold nights and morning blankets of fog, and the faint smell of campfire that lingers throughout the diminishing daylight.
While there are dozens of scenic drives and peak locales to enjoy Fall in New England, we wanted to go above and beyond the call of duty and provide a week-long multi-sport party-plan for your Fall getaway.
Starting in Manchester, New Hampshire and covering over 300 miles before reaching Burlington, Vermont, with this blueprint you'll surf, sea kayak, climb, boulder, bike and party your way through the heart of New England. Not to mention, without spending too much time jockeying for position with the leaf-peeping mainstream.
For anyone traveling from out of the region, flights into Manchester and out of Burlington are likely under $500. And rental car providers such as Hertz allows for inter-state returns, averaging around $500 for the week.
