Backcountry Splitboards and Snowcaves in Hakuba, Japan

In episode four of The North Face/Swatch "TimeLine" series, which features the traveling adventures of big mountain snowboarder Xavier de le Rue, photographer Tero Repo and filmer/editor Guido Perrini, they traveled to Japan --with guest rider Lucas Debari-- in search of the island's legendary coastal snowfall. Titled, "Fantastic Lines in Japan," they got precisely what they were looking for by way of splitboards and snowcaves in the Hakuba backcountry.
