Arctic Inspiration for Jones, TGR ‘Further’ Film

When it comes to gut instinct, there's no doubt in my mind that Jeremy Jones' gut might as well be called 'King Gut' when it comes to scouting new, "dreamlike" backcountry snowboarding and skiing terrain.

After 16 years of dedicating his springtime exploration in Alaska, where he's seen and ridden the best lines of his life, Jones has switched gears to focus on a small archipelago in the Arctic Circle called Svalbard. It is here, after his team researched countless maps, latitudes, topo lines and ocean proximity, where his gut instinct kicked in to say, "There is a uniqueness to these mountains that I have never seen in this world, and the options for good riding seems endless!"

Currently shooting for "Further," the follow-up film to his 2010 hit "Deeper," Jones and TGR has shot in the Tetons --with Jimmy Chin and Xavier de le Rue-- and most recently in the Arctic --with shred-legend Terje Haakonsen.
