Mike Wilson leaps from his perch, high above the
Truckee River.Somewhere along the shores of the Truckee River between Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake, rope-swinging extraordinaire Mike "Great Show" Wilson one-upped himself.
After creating a crafty pulley system to get across a gorge to the 'right spot' along the cliff line, Wilson went on a four-day binge and swung into the books with a quadruple back flip. Here are the rough specs, and I'd like to see anyone else with the cojones to try going bigger: 99-feet from launch to splash, 60-foot high release point.
As far as we're concerned, the only thing wrong with this picture is he's not wearing a PFD or a helmet... but I guess in this situation drag and aerodynamics are key factors. And apparently both mom and dad approve.
Swing on Mike, swing on.
