Read Moret 150m from the ground. The young Sydney resident, who goes by the adopted name Lucky Chance, said he had prepared for the jump for nearly a year and was thrilled with his success. "I grew up in the Blue Mountains and I knew this spot was awesome," Mr Chance told ninemsn. "To be able to swing out and just let go there's nothing like it." But Mr Chance said taking the jump was not as smooth as it seemed on camera. "On the day of the video it was atrocious conditions, really windy I hit the ground pretty hard and thrashed my hands and ankles." Read Mores. To reach Namibia's incomparably remote climbing destinations, Majka Burhardt, Kate Rutherford, Peter Doucette and their crew drove washboard roads for days on end in search of undiscovered climbing. Along the way, they met Namibia's Himba people, tested their mettle in extreme heat and worked their way (somewhat accidentally) up a new route on the Orabeskopf face of the Brandberg Massif, Namibia's highest peak. The DVD is available for purchase off of Majka's site. This short features highlights from the full-length video: Waypoint Namibia Short from Majka Burhardt on Vimeo. If seeing the video at home isn't enough, try to catch Majka and Waypoint Namibia as they make the rounds with the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Fest
